Day 87-Homestead, Pennsylvania: Children Are a Blessing from God

When God created both a man and a woman the perfect union was formed through the creation of Adam and Eve. Even further when Cain was born the greatest gift that anyone could receive in this world occurred with the birth of this child at the hands of God. This moment is as close to God that anyone can come before death once we are placed into this world. The miracle of life that occurs with the birth of a child is the single most life-changing moment for a human being in this world.

On this day when a man and woman bring a new baby into this world, the angels are singing and the hope for tomorrow is born. Not every birth goes as planned in our minds and even on this day of hope, there can be traumatic events that occur that equally changes a persons life forever. No matter the circumstance, only God knows why each person in this world receives the specific blessing that they do. We are destined for the calling that Jesus has for us. We were all created in the image of God and nothing can bring us so much joy as the happiness that comes from being a mother or father.

There is a bond so strong, from God, between a child and their parents that was predetermined before we were even a speck in our mother’s womb. When we first see our baby for the first time our heart is free and our love is strong for our child. Some people may never get to experience this moment and for some reason God choose them to carry their own cross. All we can do is pray for each other to be able to face their individual circumstances with mercy and love through our Father. As our children, grandchildren, stepchild or adopted children grow we see such a beautiful aspect of this world that only comes from God, which fulfill us as parent in every way conceivable.
