Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 10

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 10-West Palm Beach, Florida:

The fear of tomorrow and what is to come can become an overwhelming feeling that consumes our happiness today. So how can we better equip ourselves for tomorrow by focusing on the gifts that God has given us? It is extremely difficult to just focus on today’s task and not worry about tomorrow. Everyone around the world struggles with this dilemma in some way at some point of his or her life and being aware of your particular struggles can only enhance the sensitivity to wanting to know how to solve every problem today.

If we solved 100 problems today, there may be 100 more problems tomorrow. When you lose a job for example, you worry every day until you get a job. You may have a family to support or bills to pay, which only adds to the pressure to deliver today not tomorrow. This is where true faith comes into play. God knows what we need and in his time he will answer our prayers. It just does not happen at the snap of our fingers like we think, though that would be awesome right?

God is always listening and paying attention to our needs. Communicating with Jesus gives us the closeness to our Father that we need in order to truly understand how he is working in our lives. Looking at things from a new or different perspective is one of the best ways to not get ahead of ourselves. When we are in a state of grace instead of a state of panic, we make better decisions. This not only bring us closer to God, but also allow us to solve today’s problems with confidence knowing that tomorrow will be taken care of in due time.
