365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance

Day 103-Coraopolis, Pennsylvania: Equality

For many years people all over the world have been fighting for freedom and equality more than anything else. Everyone desires to be accepted for who we are and also want to be respected in the same manner that we treat others. The good thing about having a relationship with Jesus is that He views us all as equals. No one man or woman is greater than another. We are all created in the image of God and all have the same goal in mind to serve God faithfully no matter what obstacle is in front of us.

In spite of our differences, God only views us all as one flock of His sheep. With that being said, even though we may have “baggage” we are all designed with the love of God throughout our heart and soul. We can only do the best that we can do and we are not in control of other people. We can only control our actions and hopefully the decisions that we make fall in line with what God is asking of us. If we make the wrong decision we must stop and learn from our mistake so that next time we make the right decision without being conflicted.

Being strong allows us all to heal and grow together with the Lord. Since we are equal we all face the same challenges, but in our own way. It is not easy and many days we fail. Failing does not mean that we are weak; it actually means the opposite. In order to fail we must endure and try. If we do not try we will never fail. If we never fail we will never know what we need to ask God to bless us with. Instead of running from our problems we all have to face our fears and ask for God to intervene on our behalf. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD Will be delivered”, from Joel.

Lord our Father in Heaven, please give us strength and help us endure no matter the circumstance, in your Holy Name we pray. Amen.
