Day 113- Neville Island, Pennsylvania: Hold On

Today is a new day with a new window of opportunities awaiting us. The pain that holds us down is only temporary and if we “hold on” long enough God’s love and light will cause an eruption so enormous that we will glow like a star in the sky on a crystal clear night. We are all part of this beautiful plan that God has for us and we only need to enjoy the goodness of what we are blessed with. God always finds a way for us!

How do we see through the fog of the day to realize the importance of family and having people around us who whole-heartedly believe in us? The dreams that we have are important, the goals that we set are significant, and our lives have a tremendous amount of value to God and those around us who really love us. The actions that we take today matter, and we equally matter. If we fail to realize this, all we have to do is look around our surroundings to see all of the miracles right in front of us. They are everywhere and God is with us everywhere we go!

Everything in life has an upside and we have to trust God to see it. It is all about perspective and being able to see past the point of our noses. It will get better. We have to have strength, mercy, compassion, happiness, forgiveness, love, and hope for what lies ahead. If a farmer knew that the crops would be barren in the summer, would he plant in the spring or just give up? Life is a risk and sometimes things work out and sometimes they do not. That is ok and we will be ok.

If we have faith we know that the next harvest will produce a crop that is superior to anything in the world by the grace of God. The truth is that life goes on in the face of disappointment, and especially on our darkest days we must be cognitive of this fact. We are not alone in this world and we have a God who sees exactly who we are and what we stand for. We have nothing to fear or worry about as a follower of Jesus Christ. Amen.
