Day 117- Richmond, Virginia: Strong Tower

From Proverbs God speaks directly to our souls in such a manner that only can make us feel safe and secure about what we are to do when we are troubled, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe”. When we are worried about events that are occurring in our lives, we only have one viable solution, and that is to turn everything over to God. When we do this, God both appreciates and respects us for our faithfulness.

Looking towards the future and trying to grasp what will happen tomorrow is only a complete waste of time. We have no idea how or what is coming our way. The problems that we face today will be replaced by completely different challenges tomorrow. Therefore, turning to God and listening to the Word of the Lord as a tower of strength, is the only logical choice that we have within our faith. We cannot solve all of the problems alone, because it takes the entire world community to become engaged in the splendor of God and what His work entails.

We are all scared. We are all sinners. We all make mistakes and wish we could change events in our lives that we have regretted over. The fact of the matter is that the past is only there to remind us how we can do make better decisions in the future. We have no reason to live in fear, as Jesus is with us every step of the way. The strength of God is unbreakable by any man or woman on Earth, and the devil cannot destroy what God has built within us.

We should feel very safe and secure knowing that no matter what we are saved. God loves us and cherishes each and every one of us. We are all marked for Heaven and the only way we fail is by quitting, ignoring what we know is to be just in the eyes of the Lord, and or by turning our backs on God. Praise God for all our blessings and live thankfully in peace knowing Jesus’s death and resurrection has saved us from a life that leads to death. Through Christ we are free and strong for eternity from the restraints of sin.
