Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 19

Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 19

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 19-West Palm Beach, Florida:

When was the last time that we spoke to God through our prayers and thanked him for the adversity that we were going through? This may seem impossible, but that is exactly what God teaches us to do. When we sin and are going through hardships in our life that is when we need Jesus in our hearts more than ever.

God will never forsaken us or leave us to “the wolves”. Sometimes we have to get through the challenges in our lives in order to teach us a life lesson or to get us to where God is leading us. If everyone were handed everything on a silver platter, how would we ever evolve and grow with God? Rather, having the ability to comprehend that God will never give us more than we can handle as a way to strengthen us for his glory physically, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually.

The Lord is our Shepard, and we shall not want. That is such a thought provoking statement, but it is absolutely true if you believe it in your heart. Things in this world are not perfect and events do not always go as we plan on most days. However, that does not mean that God is not with us. He lives in our hearts, mind, body, and soul. He is all around us and when we put our faith in God, through Jesus, our cups will overflow and we will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
