Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 24

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 24-West Palm Beach, Florida:

What contributes to our happiness? Is it money or is it quality of life? Deep down we all have our attributes that define where we stand. Somewhere in the mix the following factors affect our happiness directly: family, children, jobs, and living situations to name a few. However, the most important element that should touch every area of our lives is God. Without God in our lives we will surely suffer a fate that is undesirable to mankind, as we know it.

When we choose to involve God in our daily lives, we have all of the tools that we need to achieve the happiness that we desire. Without God, we are going to be fighting an uphill battle. Happiness begins and ends with the love in our hearts. When we have God’s love we can send that love out into the world like a lighthouse in the night, but when we do not have this love we radiate a light that is constantly blinking.

The way to make the change from being unhappy and miserable is by allowing Jesus to enter into our heart and also by listening to the Holy Spirit within us that is moving us along on our journey towards both a happy and fulfilled life, which will ultimately lead us to Heaven. We do not know the hour that the Lord will return, and that is even more of a reason to be prepared for what is to come starting today.

In the Bible it is stated specifically about our hearts desires, according to Luke, “And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God”.
