Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 4

Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 4

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 4-Virginia Beach, Virginia:

Why is it when we sin that we hide from God? Why do we turn away from God when we need him most? The answer is that we are so ashamed to be honest and open about our failures with the Father who knows us better than anyone on Earth. We tend to hide and pretend that what we are doing goes unnoticed. This is not true and something that takes a strong faith to overcome.

Living in sin is not easy and embarrassing to talk about. When tend to have a strong relationship with God when things are going great in our lives, usually during times of joy and prosperity. However, on the other end of the perspective when things are tough or not easy, such as times of the loss of a loved one or loss of a job, we are left feeling exposed. This is when we need God most.

Blaming God for things that go wrong in our lives is just not acceptable. Why would a Father who loves us, want us to suffer. Because of free will we choose the decisions that we make and decide what road to follow. The great news is that no matter what choice we make we have a best friend and protector with us waiting for us to come home to rejoice and love us whole again. Instead of hiding we need to come from behind the curtain and walk closer to God, in both good and bad times. We are never alone and that is something to be joyful about.
