Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 40

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 40-West Palm Beach, Florida:

There are billions of people in this world and within each culture every person has his or her own distinct religious beliefs. That is the great thing about having a relationship with God; it is not a cookie cutter approach where we all walk around in a comatose state. God has given us all the ability to make choices for ourselves and even though he knows the outcome for us, we have the ability to decide what religion is best for us and what specific beliefs we want to put into practice.

In a world filled with so many religions and a society afraid to talk about God publicly where does that leave us? We all thirst for the presence of God in our lives and long to have access to information that we all can rejoice about together. Even though we all believe in Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit differently, we actually have more in common than we think. So how do we know what religion to be a part of and what rituals we should follow?

One way is to expose yourself to different religions if you are not sure you are on the right path with God within the religion you associate yourself with currently or have in the past. Another way is to fellowship and talk with friends and family about what they believe in to learn more about how God is working in places you may not be aware of. Lastly, the most important thing to do before anything else is to pray to our Father for guidance and mercy.

Ask God to put on your heart where you should be and where you are going. Ask to be absolved of your sins and purified through Jesus, who gave the ultimate sacrifice of His life out of love for all of us here on Earth regardless of race or gender. You will find your way, because God will lead you where you are going. It is our choice to either go up the rocky mountain towards His Kingdom or take the easy road toward hell.

God, please help all of your children find peace on Earth through the faith that you put on our hearts. Amen.
