Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 51

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 51-West Palm Beach, Florida:

Our journey with God begins when we wake up and ends when we go to sleep. We have a very important job to do, spreading the message of God out into the world while trying to live a happy fulfilled life. This is not any easy task for any man or woman. We have great responsibility as a follower of Christ and we are obligated to share the knowledge that we possess with others in order for them to have the opportunity to walk amongst the living as well.

Completing God’s work on Earth and working directly for our Father has its advantages, but it does not make it easy in any circumstance. We as believers actually have it harder than the non-believers, due to the fact that the devil has to work that much harder to steer us away from the Cross of Jesus. The devil knows the weak souls he can collect and also the atheist that turn away from God as he is counting those among his followers based on his empty lies. The devil also knows that he needs more confusion to attract more people into hell, so he chooses to attack the faith of God’s children on Earth in every opportunity that he can, focusing in our weaknesses and unholy desires that come from original sin.

We must work harder to not only complete our work in the face of adversity in the name of God, but we also have to withstand the pressure we face just as Jesus did in the desert for 40 days and 40 night. During this period Lucifer tried to persuade Jesus to jump ship and take the easy way out through a series of questions to the real power of God in both Heaven and Earth, which is similar to the tactics that the devil uses on us everyday.

We cannot listen to this voice or submit to temptation, though we all do. When we do submit to sinning, we must pray to our Father for forgiveness and ask for ways to stay on the path that leads us home with all of our family in Heaven. The devil can only take from us from which we give him, and with God by our side we can limit the amount of bad decisions that we make.

May God help focus our tasks today on allowing our work to be for His glory forever and ever. Amen.
