Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 55

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 55-West Palm Beach, Florida:

How easy is it to listen to the devil as he lures us deep into a life as a sinner? Evil is all around us, even though we all are embraced by the Son of God in all that we do. It is like having an Angel on one side and the devil on the other shoulder that is constantly trying to manipulate our thoughts and actions to steer us away from the one true God that we all love so deeply. It takes a high level of courage and faith in God to thrive in the world we live in under these conditions.

Even though it hurts Jesus when we sin, He knows the work of the devil is quite intricate in many ways that essentially overcome us humans, into behaviors from which we feel that we cannot walk away from the sins we are basically lured into committing. These circumstances are why we all are labeled “sinners” and also are forced to constantly work to reject the devil and all of his empty promises. That being said, we should not give up on our battle towards choosing good over evil, because if we are strong enough overall we will overcome our desires to submit to sin more times than not through our absolute faith in Jesus.

We are all tested and tempted by the devil and that will not stop into God returns on Judgment Day. God wants us to both prepare our heart and soul for when He returns to end the evil of the world once and for all. We must learn from these situations in order to become stronger. The devil knows are weaknesses and attacks our defense systems to truly try to remove our soul from God. However, God is with us and even though temptation is extremely difficult to overcome, we have a Father who is with us every step of the way.
