Heart to Heart with God: A Journey Towards Acceptance Day 64

365 Days of Reflection Towards God’s Love and Acceptance
~June 4, 2014-June 3, 2015~

Day 64-West Palm Beach, Florida:

When we sin against God we are also sinning against ourselves, and the more we sin the more we come to realize that we are making the same mistakes over and over again. We fall into a pattern of denial and unless we ask for real forgiveness through Jesus, we will continue to disobey God. However, we can only defy God for so long before serious consequences occur in our lives. When we are living a disconnected life from Jesus we are setting ourselves up for failure, which only further complicates the love that God is trying to give us.

We are going to make one of two decisions to combat this dilemma: 1. We will decide once and for all that we have to make a change or 2. Continue to sin in the same manner out of ignorance. It is a constant struggle to make these changes and to break the cycle, but we have God on our side that is providing us the strength that we need to endure forever and ever. With that in mind we can make the change or changes no matter the situation, if we believe through our faith through Jesus that we can stop giving into the temptations that lucifer puts before us that is leading us to sin when we know better.

In Romans we are taught the following: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. If we disobey God, we will die and go to hell. If we repent and have mercy, we will receive eternal glory in Heaven. It is that simple. All the money in the world does not stop the inevitable. We are taught life lessons through the Bible that shows us the important aspects of life, such as family and values. We must choose to stop our sins, while we have the time afforded to us.

Everyday is a blessing and through the gift of God we have so much to be thankful for!
