Day 71- West Palm Beach, Florida: Never Give Up

How often do we just want to quit on God and ourselves during those times of turmoil in our lives? When tragedy occurs, we often can use that as a reason to stray away from our Faith when we absolutely know better for the most part. The easy way out in life is to quit and give up at various moments along the journey. On the other hand, the difficult decision is to continue to listen to God and believe in ourselves no matter the circumstance. The results are usually mixed with some people giving up forever, others returning home to God after a period away, and those who stay the course no matter what.

As a disciple of Christ we have to continue to push forward and also help to encourage those around us in every way possible. We cannot do it alone and it takes an Army of God’s people united as one to overthrow the evil of this world and not allow the devil to control our thoughts in a way that destroys our soul. The Holy Spirit within us will give us the strength that we need to persevere, if we allow the Lord to enter our hearts at that moment when we are susceptible to submitting to the temptations of this world more often than not. We must not waiver and we must not fall victim to lies of satan when God’s presence is all around us.

That is why it takes a level of commitment and also a desire to overcome the adversity that is being placed in front of us to reach the pearly Gates of Heaven. We must fight back against evil and not allow those around us to bring us down either. Instead, we should be working to uplift each other’s spirits through our shared faith, in order for everyone in this world to experience and see firsthand, how the Power of God can change every circumstance in the blink of an eye. When we walk by faith and not by sight, we can enjoy the fruits of God’s love in every aspect of life.
