Day 127- Coraopolis, Pennsylvania: Just Getting Started
Life is all about perspective as we walk with God on our individual journey that is designed to affect many people around us. Are our glasses half full or half empty? Everyday is a new opportunity for us to grow as we are taught valuable life lessons that are shaping us into the followers of Christ that we are. The question is, “are we listening to the Holy Spirit as He teaches us these valuable life lessons”? I am sure there are days we receive the message and others that we do not. This is ok as long as we are not ignoring God purposely or completely turning our back on God.
We are just getting started on the mission of what God has called us to accomplish on Earth. From our mindset or perspective the vision the Lord sees for us may not be something we think we can accomplish, but we can. The reason why is because from God’s mindset he knows what we are truly capable of. He does not mind pushing us to the brink to show us the way, the truth, and the light of the Word of God. Do you think this is from our doing or a human who pushes us further than we thought possible? There is only one explanation and this comes through our faith, which shows us how we are able to endure adversity time and time again through Jesus Christ. With His death and resurrection we are not only saved, but we are given the opportunity to show the world what a Christian is made of.
We are not weak, because God gives us strength. We are not quitters, because the Lord picks us up in the middle of the storm. God has the authority to make the seas part and the mountains shake with His command. We are not evil, because God gives everyone the gift of absolute love that is unbreakable no matter how hard someone tries to steal or destroy what God has created within us. Not even lucifer himself has the ability to break us down, because God is always protecting us in every way possible.
From 2 Peter: “For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you”.
What have we learned in this powerful passage from the Word of the Lord? That we all must be firm, strong, and committed to our God or we must learn from our mistakes and sins, in order to accomplish many great things in this world? We are all chosen and we all have a magnificent plan that God has designed specifically for us. Therefore, we must practice what is preached to us by God and other followers of Christ without delay in order to open the door to our eternal life in Heaven with all of our brothers and sisters that we love so dearly. Our journey is just getting started. Amen.
