Day 165- West Palm Beach, Florida: The Power of One

The “Power of God” is absolute and the power that is given to us comes with great responsibility. We only have one planet with the resources that have been provided to us by our Father in Heaven. If we choose to abuse and waste our gifts, we will surely perish as a result of our own undoing. This is where the “Power of One” comes into the equation. With the blessings we have received from Jesus we are held accountable by God to not only protect our world, but also be accountable for one another persons well being as well.

We have an obligation to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, don’t we? In life, things always happen for a reason and we are stronger together than when we are divided. What will it take for us to realize that strength is in numbers, which begins with one idea? As we all know, with God’s blessing all things are possible and one man such as Jesus Christ can change the world forever.

If we look closely at the work of the Apostle Peter, who was the rock of the church, we see from Matthew what he was able to do with God’s sanctification: “And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven”. As we can see in this passage from the Bible, there is nothing in this world or the next that can overtake the work of God.

This is how we can induce change together and we can further build up the church of Jesus Christ through our faith. Matter fact, we have a duty to spread the Word of God. We can do it one man and a woman at a time or we can do it in bulk through the transformation of a society who wants to enjoy the benefits of a celestial life after our departure from Earth, in the Kingdom of God in Heaven. What will we choose? How will we decide our fate? We always have a choice and that is the joy of life as we journey together as one Church of God.
