Day 167- Richmond, Virginia: Purpose

There is a reason why we are here, but where is here? Where are we and what is the purpose of our lives on Earth? Every day that we are alive is a blessing and it is easy to bypass the ins and outs of what this world has to offer when we get caught up. We sometimes confuse the importance of health, faith, and love. Aren’t these three aspects of our lives more important than money, belongings, fancy cars, fast boats, and or luxurious houses? Don’t we have so much more to offer the world than what we have in our bank accounts?

The truth is that if we have God in our lives and hearts we see the writing on the wall every day, even when we are not perfect. This is especially true when it comes to answering these thought provoking philosophical questions. When we have a connection or bond with the Father who created us here on Earth, we begin to also realize the importance of friendships and having a deep love towards one another. Understanding and believing in what we cannot see is critical to what is beyond the bright lights. Selling our soul to devil to gain riches in this world may not be a good exchange, don’t we all agree?

From Galatians, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary”. We must stay on our “A” game and not be knocked off balance by the struggles of the world around us. Nothing in life is guaranteed and the sooner we realize this fact, the better off we will be with God by our side. We must keep our focus on why God created us and what the ultimate goals that we have been charged to accomplish throughout our lives?
