Day 171- Richmond, Virginia: One Day We Will
The conception of God is baffling to contemplate to a mere mortal, such as all of us? Is it not easier to believe something or someone when you get the chance to see it with our own eyes? If someone told us that a tsunami or a hurricane hit land, destroyed property, and a loss of life occurred as a result of these natural disasters, would we believe it? If we heard it on the radio, would we believe it then or would we need to see it on the T.V. to make it real? How could we ever fully understand what actually occurred without being there? Again, how could we? The truth is that we could never fully comprehend a disaster or a miracle that occurs without us being there. Right?
It is easy to say something through communication, but the hard part is believing the message that is being delivered to us. This was the part that even the Disciples of Jesus struggled with, and they were in the midst of the Son of God, Jesus Christ everyday. If they didn’t believe, how could we possible believe? However, when we experience an act of God or an event that changes our lives, we see what the Apostles seen with their own eyes when Jesus walked on water and rose from the dead on the third day. Once placed into perspective it is pretty remarkable, don’t we all think?
One day we will fully understand our purpose on Earth. One day we will be rewarded for our Faith in not only our Father in Heaven, but also the love from God that we choose to accept in our hearts. We do have a choice. We have a choice to believe the Word of God or not. We have a choice to see God, without actually seeing God. We have a choice to love one another as God loves us. We have a choice to come together as one Body of Christ. Finally, we have a choice as to whether we will obey God’s commandments in order to find favor with God or be cast away with the evildoers. From Job:
“Lo, God will not reject a man of integrity, Nor will He support the evildoers”.
