Working as a member of a team is the ultimate goal for an organization looking to be an industry leader in their specific industry. This video combines both motivation and inspiration in order to demonstrate what can happen if people put personal accolades aside in the workplace in order to work together. When you work as a team and feel like you are part of a team the possibilities are endless. Personal goals are important, but team goals should be a top priority, as they will have the most impact on employee morale. That is why it is important to develop talent from within, and when you have that team first approach the opportunities for success increase dramatically. If only every organization adopted this philosophy, we would be much better off as a society.

In any team sport you can have the best individual records, but if the team loses was it a successful experience? If you ask any athlete who is an “individual” they would take the higher pay check and personal awards, but if you ask a “team player” they will take less money with no personal awards in order to be a “World Champion”. What would you rather have a higher paycheck and work in a horrible environment where you are just another employee or would you like to work for a great employer who values and appreciates you everyday with adequate but not excellent pay?
